Who Killed the Elephant
The original play draws inspirations from an essay by George Orwell, “Shooting an Elephant” (1936) about a British colonial policeman in Burma. It attempts to rethink such concepts as discipline, mass, identity, state surveillance and development in relation to the colonial past and (neo-)colonial present of Hong Kong.
